The median income of Bristol County residents was an inflation-adjusted $34,301 per year. Bristol County had 19,521 households in 2017, with a population of 49,028.
The county with the highest median resident income in the state was Newport County. Newport County’s median income was $35,475 per year after adjusting for inflation – $1,174 more than Bristol County. It had 35,421 households in 2017 and a population of 83,204.
Providence County had the lowest annual resident income among counties in Rhode Island, with a median income of only $26,930 per year. That was $7,371 less than the median income in Bristol County at the time. Providence County had 238,465 households in 2017 and a population of 633,704.
