The Brown men’s basketball team secured an 80-71 victory over Princeton on Friday at the Pizzitola Sports Center. With this win, Brown’s record moves to 9-15 overall and 3-8 in Ivy League play, while Princeton falls to 8-18 and 4-7.

Landon Lewis led Brown with 21 points, making 10 of his 12 shots from the field. He also contributed four rebounds, two assists, and one block. Luke Paragon scored a career-high 20 points on 6-of-12 shooting and added four rebounds. Isaiah Langham chipped in with 11 points.

Brown dominated inside, outscoring Princeton by a margin of 44-20 in the paint. The Bears’ bench also outperformed Princeton’s reserves by scoring 21 points compared to Princeton’s 16. As a team, Brown shot a season-best 61.2 percent from the floor.

In the first half, Brown built an early lead behind strong shooting—making 15 of their first 23 attempts and hitting five three-pointers out of ten tries. Paragon surpassed his previous career-high by scoring 18 points before halftime, including three three-pointers.

Lewis contributed nine first-half points on efficient shooting while Langham added eight points for the Bears during that stretch. The team’s bench provided additional support by outscoring Princeton’s bench and helping Brown to record assists on most of their made baskets.

Brown held a five-point advantage at halftime with a score of 42-37.

Early in the second half, Brown extended its lead to nine before Princeton answered with a ten-point run to take a brief lead at 51-50. Brown responded quickly with a decisive run of their own to regain control.

Princeton narrowed the gap late in the game but was unable to overcome Brown’s final push as the Bears maintained their lead through the closing minutes.

This win marks Brown’s second consecutive victory. Lewis led all scorers for Brown in the second half with twelve points as the team continued its efficient shooting performance.

Looking ahead, Brown will travel for games against Columbia on February 27 and Cornell on February 28.
