The Bryant University men’s lacrosse team received two America East weekly awards, the organization announced on April 6.
These honors recognize standout performances by Bryant athletes in their recent game. The awards highlight individual achievements that contributed to the team’s success during the week.
Owen West was named America East Offensive Player of the Week after scoring a career-high six goals in a 14-9 victory over the Highlanders. His performance marked the most goals scored by a Bulldog in a single game this season and is his first Player of the Week recognition this year.
JJ Murphy earned America East Face-Off Specialist of the Week, winning 16 out of 24 face-offs and collecting 16 ground balls against the Highlanders. This is also Murphy’s first time receiving Player of the Week honors this season.
Both West and Murphy were included in the New England Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association Division I/II Team of the Week. The recognition from both organizations underscores their contributions to Bryant’s strong showing.
