The Bryant University softball team lost to Boston College by a score of 8-0 on Apr. 21 at the BC Softball Complex in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts.
The loss marks another road defeat for the Bulldogs, who are now 5-11 away from home this season. The game ended after five innings due to the run rule.
Boston College took an early lead with three runs in the first inning through a double and a ground out. In the second inning, two more runs were added by the Eagles as they capitalized on a stolen home and an error by Bryant. The third inning saw BC extend their lead with a solo home run and an RBI single, making it 7-0. The game concluded in the fifth when BC scored again on a double.
Jadyn Jenks contributed one hit and stole her fourth base of the year, marking her fifth hit this season. Arriana Williams, Gabriella Gesualdo, and Bryce Clendenin also each had one hit for Bryant. Pitchers Lexi Powell and Brooke Tracy recorded one strikeout apiece during the contest. Clendenin continues to lead the team with 32 hits overall.
Bryant will return home to Smithfield for their next series against Maine.
