Providence College announced on April 27 that softball players Cameron Dunn and Alyssa Twomey have been named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll after their performances in a series sweep over Villanova. The Friars’ three wins secured them a place in the 2026 BIG EAST Softball Tournament.

Dunn started all three games, recording a .444 batting average with four hits in nine at-bats, one home run, and five runs batted in. She also posted an .889 slugging percentage and a .500 on-base percentage. This is her fifth appearance on the honor roll this season.

Twomey contributed as pitcher, registering 11 strikeouts over 10.1 innings. She finished the weekend with two wins, a 2.03 earned run average, and delivered a complete-game shutout.

The team is scheduled to play Georgetown next in a doubleheader on Tuesday, April 28. The first game will begin at 3:00 p.m., with streaming available on FriarsLive.

The recognition of Dunn and Twomey highlights Providence’s strong performance as they advance toward postseason play.
