Leeway Ace Hardware will give away free American flags on Saturday, May 28 to honor the Memorial Day holiday.

Rhode Island lost 111 soldiers in the Korean war and 136 in the Vietnam conflict.

Consumers visiting the store at 790 Great Rd, North Smithfield will receive a free 8’ by 12’ American flag. A second will be donated to the local VFW Le Clair-Kozlik-Logan-Bassett Post to be used for marking veterans’ graves on Memorial Day.

This year, Ace Hardware Corporation aims to again give away more than one million American flags nationally. Last year, it gave away more than 500,000 to Ace customers and more than 550,000 to more than 1,900 VFW Posts.

Flags will be available at Leeway Ace Hardware while quantities last. Each consumer is limited to one free flag; no purchase is necessary.

Leeway Ace Hardware is located at 790 Great Rd, North Smithfield, Rhode Island. This location is owned by Michelle L. Deschamps and managed by Michelle L. Deschamps.
