Little East Conference: Eastern Connecticut Baseball Ranked Fourth in Latest D3baseball.com / NCBWA Poll

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Eastern Connecticut State University baseball team dropped two spots from a week ago to No. 4 in D3baseball.com / National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) Poll, it was announced Tuesday morning.
The Warriors went 3-2 last week, moving their record to 13-3 overall for the season. 

They opened with a 12-2 non-conference victory over New England College before being upset by Westfield State (10-1) and Salve Regina (13-6).

Eastern Connecticut rebounded by sweeping its Little East Conference (LEC) doubleheader versus Plymouth State, taking game-one 14-0 in seven innings before posting an 8-0 victory in game-two. 

They were the first conference games of the season for both squads.The Warriors are scheduled to travel to Wheaton (Mass.) for a non-conference contest later today before hosting a non-conference game against WPI Wednesday. Eastern will then close out the week with a LEC twin bill at Castleton Saturday.
