Sen. Euer, Rep. Handy, Gov. McKee announce plans for new 600 MW procurement of off shore wind
Senate Environment and Agriculture Committee Chairwoman Dawn Euer and Rep. Arthur Handy joined Gov. Dan McKee and state and local officials today to announce the introduction of their legislation to require a market-competitive procurement for approximately 600 MW of newly-developed offshore wind capacity. If enacted, Rhode Island’s primary utility company would be required to issue the procurement no later than August 15, 2022.
