Providence men’s soccer to join inaugural Northeast Spring Cup in 2026

The Providence College men’s soccer team is set to participate in the first Northeast Spring Cup in 2026. The event will feature NCAA Division I teams from New England, including UNH, Boston College, Boston University, UConn, Providence, UMass, Bryant, and Vermont.

Teams are split into two groups: North and South regions. The North Region includes Boston College, Boston University, Vermont, and UNH. The South Region consists of Bryant, Providence, UConn, and UMass. Each team will play three games within its group. The top team from each region will move on to the championship final. Other teams will play a fourth match to determine their final ranking from third to eighth place. Specific dates and locations for the matches have not yet been announced.

Providence finished the 2025 season with a 6-7-3 overall record and went 4-2-2 in BIG EAST conference games. The team reached its 25th BIG EAST Tournament as the No. 4 seed but was eliminated by No. 1 Georgetown in the semifinals.
