Ruby Sliwkowski of the Brown women’s lacrosse team was named Ivy League Offensive Player of the Week, according to an announcement by the Ivy League on April 27.
The recognition comes after Sliwkowski scored the game-winning overtime goal in a 14-13 victory over No. 25 Penn, securing Brown’s place in the Ivy League Tournament. She recorded a career-high five goals and added three assists during Sunday’s game.
This marks Sliwkowski’s second time earning Offensive Player of the Week honors this season. Her first award came earlier in April after another game-winning performance against Columbia. At the end of regular season play, she ranked second in points per game within the league at 4.43.
Looking ahead, Sliwkowski and her teammates will compete in the Ivy League Tournament beginning Friday, May 1, facing top-seeded Yale at Reese Stadium.
