Cost of college went up for all students at Bryant University

Tuition and fees rose 4.4 percent for 2018-19 at Bryant University, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Rhode Island students paid $43,973 to attend the four-year private not-for-profit institution this year – $1,864 more than the $42,109 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 96 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 842 students received grants or scholarships totaling $17.8 million and 559 students took out student loans totaling more than $7.2 million.

Including all undergraduates (3,788), 3,101 students used grants or scholarships totaling $62.2 million, and 1,946 students took out $13.5 million in federal student loans.
