Men’s Track & Field Athletes of the Week: April 11, 2022

Little East Conference recently issued the following announcement.

Field Athlete of the Week

Andrew Swallow (Framingham, Mass.) - Senior -  UMass Dartmouth

Swallow was named the LEC Field Athlete of the Week after winning the hammer (45.80m) and placing third in the shot put (14.37m) at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy Spring Invitational. His mark in the hammer is ninth-best in New England this season.

Co-Track Athlete of the Week

Terrell Lewis (New Boston, N.H.) - Senior - Plymouth State

Lewis was named the LEC Co-Track Athlete of the Week after winning the 110 meter hurdles (14.57) and taking fifth in the 200-meter dash (23.54) at the CCC Spring Invitational. His time in the 110 hurdles ranks eight in NCAA Division III this season.

Cameron Rodgers (Fall River, Mass.) - Junior - UMass Dartmouth

Rogers was named the LEC Co-Track Athlete of the Week after winning the 110 (15.18) and 400 (53.89) meter hurdle events at the Coast Guard Invitational. His time in the 400 ranks fourth in NCAA Division III this season.

Rookie Field Athlete of the Week

Connor Richard (Plymouth, Mass.) - Freshman - UMass Dartmouth

Richard was named the LEC Rookie Field Athlete of the Week after placing second in the javelin at the Coast Guard Invitational. His toss of 50.08 meters ranks him 11th in New England so far this season.

Rookie Track Athlete of the Week

David Bennett (Newton, Mass.) - Freshman -  UMass Dartmouth

Bennett was named the LEC Rookie Track Athlete of the Week after placing second in the 200 (22.08) and second in the 100 (11.12) at the Coast Guard Academy Invitational. His time in the 200 ranks ninth in New England this season, while his 100 time is 11th-best.

Relay of the Week

Southern Maine 4x100

The Huskies team of C.J. Moody (Old Town, Maine), Michael Geary (North Yarmouth, Maine), Jaequan Grant (East Granby, Conn.) and Antoine Grace (Queensbury, N.Y.) tuned in a winning time of 43.14 seconds at Fitchburg State’s Jim Sheehan Invitational Saturday, which is the top time in the LEC this season.
