Offensive Player of the Week Anna Barry (Andover, Conn.) – Senior – Middle Blocker - Eastern Connecticut
Barry was named the LEC Offensive Player of the Week after totaling 59 kills and 67.5 total points while hitting .386 in a 3-1 week for the Warriors. On Friday, the senior hit .300 while totaling 18 kills and three blocks (two solo) in a 3-2 win over Trinity (Conn.). Barry then opened a home tri-match by hitting .385 with 21 kills and four blocks (two solo) in a 3-1 victory over Simmons before caping the day hitting .600 with 14 kills in a sweep of Bay Path. Defensive Player of the Week / Rookie of the Week Emily Pogorelec (Wayne, N.J.) – Freshman – Libero - UMass Dartmouth
Pogorelec was named the LEC Defensive Player of the Week and Rookie of the Week after totaling 47 digs (5.22 per set) in a 3-0 week for the Corsairs. She notched 17 digs in a sweep of Clark Wednesday before tallying 15 digs in UMass Dartmouth’s 3-0 victories over Husson and Framingham State Saturday.
