Women’s Swimming & Diving Athletes of the Week: October 25, 2022

Swimmer of the Week

Allison Ronan (Northbridge, Mass.) - Sophomore - Eastern Connecticut

Ronan was named the LEC Swimmer of the Week after she won the 200 IM (2:25.29) and 200 backstroke (2:22.31), and swam the opening backstroke leg of the winning 200 medley relay (2:00.46) at the Warriors’ season-opening meet Saturday. Eastern defeated Regis College, 116-79, and lost to host Bridgewater State, 119-110.

Rookie Swimmer of the Week

Natasha Frisch (Mendota Heights, Minn.) - Freshman - Eastern Connecticut

Frisch was named the LEC Rookie Swimmer of the Week after she won the 200 breaststroke (2:54.38) by over seven seconds and swam the breaststroke leg of the winning 200 medley relay (2:00.46) in her collegiate debut against LEC-rival Bridgewater State and Regis.

Diver of the Week / Rookie Diver of the Week

Cailey Simard (Haverhill, Mass.) - Freshman - Bridgewater State

Simard swept the LEC’s diving awards for the second consecutive week after winning on both boards in a tri-meet sweep of Eastern Connecticut and Regis. She posted a score of 240.30 on the one-meter board and totaled 229.75 points on the three-meter board, both of which were season-best marks.
