Kendall Robinson (Bellport, N.Y.) - Senior - Guard - Western Connecticut
Robinson was named the LEC Player of the Week after averaging 19 points, four rebounds and three assists per game while shooting 65-percent (17-of-26) from the field in a 2-0 week for WestConn as it claimed the Wolves Holiday Tournament title. He went off for 30 points on 14-of-19 (74-percent) shooting from the floor to go along with five assists, four rebounds and two steals in the 110-52 title game rout of SUNY Maritime, in which he played just 21 minutes.
Rookie of the Week
Tommy Whelan (Bronx, N.Y.) - Sophomore - Guard - Southern Maine
Whelan, who is in his first collegiate season, was named the LEC Rookie of the Week after averaging 10 points, five rebounds and three assists per game last week. He scored 12 points with five rebounds and three assists in a 75-52 setback to Saint Joseph’s (Maine) before wrapping up 2022 by scoring eight points with five boards, three dimes and two steals in an 87-80 loss to Colby.
