Trey Taylor and Marcus Wertheim of the Brown men’s lacrosse team were named Inside Lacrosse Nike Lacrosse Media All-Americans, according to a May 9 announcement from the organization.
The recognition highlights Taylor as an Honorable Mention All-American and Wertheim as a Third Team All-American. These honors reflect their performances during the season for Brown.
Taylor received his first All-American honor after also being named Honorable Mention All-Ivy. He started all 13 games as a senior, achieving career-highs in ground balls with 26 and caused turnovers with 11. Taylor collected multiple ground balls in eight games this season, including six against Dartmouth on April 11, and caused multiple turnovers in three separate games.
Wertheim earned his second All-American honor of the week after previously being named a USA Lacrosse Honorable Mention All-American on Thursday. The St. James, New York native was also selected as First Team All-Ivy after leading the Bears in assists and points with a total of 46. Wertheim recorded at least one point in every game this season and had multiple points in twelve out of thirteen outings. He achieved a career-high eight points and marked his 100th career point against Princeton on April 28. Additionally, Wertheim was selected twenty-sixth overall by the California Redwoods in the 2026 Premier Lacrosse League College Draft.
The Brown University Sports Foundation supports athletics at Brown through contributions from alumni, parents, fans, and friends to enhance student-athlete experiences both academically and athletically.
These recognitions for Taylor and Wertheim underscore their individual achievements during the season while highlighting continued support for student-athletes at Brown.
