Senior goaltender Tyler Shea has been named ECAC MAC Goaltending Goalie of the Week, as announced by the conference on Monday. This is the first time Shea has received a weekly honor in his career.
During the weekend’s two games, Shea made 75 saves, achieving a .938 save percentage and a 2.40 goals against average. On Friday, February 13, he tied his career high with 46 saves in Brown’s 2-2 tie against Harvard and contributed two additional shootout saves to secure a win and an extra league point for Brown. The following day, Shea recorded 29 saves in Brown’s 4-3 victory over 12th-ranked Dartmouth.
Shea currently holds a .914 save percentage and a 3.10 goals against average this season. He is now just 70 saves away from entering the top-20 list for single-season saves in Brown program history.
Looking ahead, Brown will play its final regular season road games this weekend against St. Lawrence Saints (5-22-3, 4-13-1 ECAC) on Friday at 7 p.m., and Clarkson Golden Knights (12-15-3, 6-9-3 ECAC) on Saturday at 4 p.m. Both games will be available to stream on ESPN+ in the United States and via Stretch Internet internationally.
