Offensive Player of the Week / Rookie of the Week
Anna Cascapera (Peekskill, N.Y.) – Freshman – Outside Hitter – Western Connecticut
Cascapera was named the LEC Offensive Player of the Week and Rookie of the Week after totaling 50 kills () and hitting .371 in a 4-0 week for the Wolves, who are now in sole possession of first-place in the LEC standings at 4-0 and are now 8-7 overall. She opened the week totaling 14 kills while hitting .500 in a sweep of Mitchell before tallying 15 kills while hitting .281 in a four-set conference victory over cross-state rival Eastern Connecticut. Cascapera followed that performance with a season-best 16 kills while hitting .353 in a four-set non-conference win over Nichols.
Defensive Player of the Week
Olivia Monteleone (Cold Spring, Conn.) – Junior – Libero – Western Connecticut
Monteleone was named the LEC Defensive Player of the Week after totaling 57 digs over a 4-0 week for the Wolves, who are now the lone undefeated team in LEC play this season at 4-0. She opened the week with 18 digs in a sweep of Mitchell before notching 21 digs in a 3-1 conference victory over cross-state rival Eastern Connecticut. She then contributed a combined 18 digs in WestConn’s four-set win over Nichols and LEC sweep of Castleton Saturday.
