Player of the Week Jenna Lisi (Cranston, R.I.) - Senior - Rhode Island College
Lisi was named the LEC Player of the Week after going a combined 2-0 at the No. 1 double and singles positions as the Anchorwomen blanked Bridgewater State to open conference play Saturday, which was their lone match of the Week. She earned a 6-1, 6-0 singles win after pairing with Lauren Macera for an 8-2 win at the top doubles spot. Rookie of the Week Ayra Shaikh (Weymouth, Mass.) - Freshman - UMass Boston
Shaikh was named the LEC Rookie of the Week after going a combined 3-0 in singles and doubles play for the Beacons, who went 2-0 as a team. She opened the week posting a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 3 singles after teaming with Meagan Carney for an 8-1 doubles victory in UMass Boston’s sweep of Curry, and capped the week posting a 6-0, 6-1 victory at No. 2 singles in the Beacons sweep of Plymouth State in their LEC-opener.
