Bulldogs finish fourth on day two of Bowl for the Cure

The Bryant University women's bowling team finished fourth on day two of the Bowl for the Cure Tournament hosted by Sacred Heart. 

Sunday followed a traditional match format, with the Black and Gold finishing the day 2-3 overall. The Bulldogs earned victories over Molloy and Adelphi.

Recap

  • Bryant opened the day with an 898-863 victory over Molloy. Abby Unson led the Black and Gold in that match, bowling a 220. 
  • The Bulldogs would fall to the Lions in the second match, 947-813. Unson bowled a 189, while Jenavieve Lyon posted a 174.
  • Bryant bounced back with an 868-802 victory over Adelphi. Olivia Hillman led the Black and Gold with a 213, while Laura Clark bowled a 189.
  • The Black and Gold dropped two tight matches to close the day, falling to No. 16 Sacred Heart, 883-814, and No. 22 LIU, 888-848.
  • Bryant finished the day 2-3 overall with a total pinfall of 4,241. The Bulldogs had a 169.6 per-game average. 
  • Unson finished eighth in the individual standings, finishing with a 185.0 average.
  • Clark, Hillman and Lyon all finished in the top 18, placing 15th, 16th and 18th.
