WASHINGTON, DC – Congressman David N. Cicilline (RI-01), Co-Chair of the Equality Caucus, today spoke in strong opposition to H.R. 734, a House Republican bill that would actively discriminate against trans women and girls by blocking their participation in school sports and undermining all students’ civil rights. This ban does nothing to address real threats to women's sports, including lack of equal resources, pay inequality, and sexual harassment. The House is scheduled to vote on this bill tomorrow, April 20.
