Mayor Hopkins Announces Library E-Waste Recycling Event

On Saturday, June 10, 9:00 AM - noon, the IndiCycle van will be in the upper parking lot at Central to help you dispose of unwanted electronics in an environmentally safe way.

Electronic Recycling Drop Off
The Indie Cycle van will be at the Central Library upper parking lot from 9am-noon on Saturday, June 10. Drop off your old, unwanted electronics for free and they will be safely recycled. 

Acceptable items include: Computers, routers, monitors, televisions, laptops, mice, keyboards, cameras, printers, toner, wires and cables, microwaves, phones (cell, cordless, & landline), stereo equipment, plastic speakers, CD/DVD players; gaming stations, and other electronic gadgetry, lead acid batteries, backup batteries, and auto/marine batteries. 

There is a $10 fee for: Wooden stereo speakers ($5 for small), laserjet printers, air conditioners, dehumidifiers, mini fridges, and other coolant containing appliances. 

Items not accepted include: Broken TV tubes, smoke detectors, single use disposable batteries, furniture, paint, plastic, paper/styrofoam, chemicals, and aerosol cans.
