Mayor Hopkins & Cranston Libraries Announce Summer Reading Kick-Off at Sprague Mansion

Cranston Summer Reading Kick-off & Free Book Fair

The Cranston Public Library, in partnership with OneCranston Health Equity Zone, the Cranston Family Center/COZ, the Cranston Historical Society, the Cranston Fire Department, and the Cranston Police Department invites the community to the Summer Reading Program Kick-off and Free Book Fair. 

The event will be held at Sprague Mansion, 1351 Cranston St, Cranston, RI on Friday, June 16 from 4:00 - 7:00 PM. 

Browse a beautiful selection of free books in the historic Governor Sprague Mansion and learn about the library's summer reading raffle, activity kits, and summer programs. Each child who attends this event may choose a free book to keep. 

Attendees can also play lawn games, enjoy refreshments, learn about resources from community partners, and tour Cranston Fire Department Station 3, where they can touch a truck, try on a fire helmet, and more!
