United States Attorney Zachary A. Cunha has announced the appointment of Taylor A. Dean as Assistant United States Attorney for the District of Rhode Island. Ms. Dean will join the Criminal Division, where she will focus on various matters crucial to the safety of Rhode Islanders, such as fraud, violent crime, narcotics, and complex financial crime.

Ms. Dean is a native of Rhode Island and arrives at the U.S. Attorney’s Office from a partnership position at a local law firm. Before that role, she spent over ten years as a litigator with an international law firm in New York and London. Her experience includes handling complex white-collar and commercial litigation matters and significant criminal cases involving high-level corporate executives.

She holds degrees from New York University and Fordham University School of Law. Before attending law school, Ms. Dean worked for several years as a victim advocate in the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office, which gave her insight into victim-centered prosecution within the criminal justice system.

“I could not be more delighted to welcome Taylor Dean to the ranks of the United States Attorney’s Office,” said U.S. Attorney Zachary A. Cunha. “An exceptionally talented lawyer, Taylor combines deep roots in the Ocean State with the type of skill and legal acumen that have enabled this Office to ensure that, no matter the type, size, or complexity of a case, we can and will seek justice for every Rhode Islander.”
